The cost of 1,000 advertising impressions in a given media channel.

CPM (cost per mille, or cost per thousand impressions) is the standard unit of media pricing in display, video, and social advertising. It measures the cost to reach 1,000 viewers, regardless of whether those viewers click, engage, or convert. CPMs vary dramatically by platform, audience quality, and creative format.
